VIDEO: Clondalkin residents chase rats out of estate

Residents in the Grange View Place area of Clondalkin say their estate has been overrun with rats in recent months.

The rats, according to residents, have been found in and around the building that contains their bins, in their gardens, and even hidden inside the engines of their cars, as this video shows.

According to those living in the estate the problem has been ongoing for some months, but it has escalated in recent weeks.

Residents who contacted the Echo have said they now live in daily fear of the rats getting into their homes, and for the health and safety of their children.
