Was it you? Tallaght shop sells winning Lotto ticket worth over €200k…

IT’S Happy New Year to one lucky person who won €209,699 in Wednesday’s Lotto draw.

The lucky punter purchased their ticket on December 30 in the Valley News shop in Fortunestown Shopping Centre in Tallaght.

The player matched five numbers and the bonus to become the biggest winner of the night.

Shop owner Anthony Walsh was thrilled to get the call from the National Lottery with the good news.

Mr Walsh said: “As soon as word gets out that we sold a ticket worth over €200,000, there is certain to be a total buzz around the store and I’m sure we’ll have lots of customers in to check their tickets.

“Imagine starting the new year with a win like that – it’s news that we would all like to be getting!

“Hopefully the ticket isn’t stuck at the end of a bag somewhere and the winner realizes that they have a winner soon.

“We wish them all the very best with their win.”

The National Lottery has advised players in the Dublin 24 area to check their tickets carefully as one ticketholder now has a ticket worth €209,699.

The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe.

They should contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize in Lotto HQ.
