ELECTRICAL Waste Management Limited have applied for a five-year extension on temporary planning permission granted for a site used for the storage of WEEE-related goods.

The WEEE-related goods are stored in a concrete yard with 4.2m high temporary, demountable concrete walls.

The council requested additional details about water channels used for rainfall runoff from the waste materials on the site.

The applicant Electrical Waste Management Limited has proposed incorporating an interceptor channel, to collect the rainfall runoff from an area which houses external metal waste material, in response to the council’s concerns.

The council’s decision is due on January 30.
