Water supply in Lucan area may be impacted on by essential works

PEOPLE living in the Adamstown and wider Lucan area may experience disruption to their water supply due to works being carried out on Thursday night into Friday morning.

According to a statement issued by Irish Water, essential works are scheduled to take place from midnight on Thursday, May 20, until 8am on Friday, May 21.

Irish Water said that it is working in partnership with South Dublin County Council to carry out essential connections on a diverted trunk watermain in the Adamstown, Lucan area.

Customers in the following areas may experience disruption to their supply during works; Hillcrest, Weston, Arthur Griffith Park, Haydens Park, Elmbrook, Castle Riada, Ballydowd, Esker, Hermitage and surrounding areas.

According to Irish Water: “Irish Water in collaboration with South Dublin County Council have reconfigured the network to maintain normal supply to as many customers as possible.

“Irish Water is working at this time, with our Local Authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of both staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of critical drinking water and wastewater services.”
