Young entrepreneur is Eamonn high in business

A YOUNG Clondalkin entrepreneur is hoping to take the Dublin club and entertainment scene by storm at the tender age of 17.Eamonn OShea3
Former Moyle Park College student Eamonn O'Shea is opening his first nightclub on July 17 – though he will still be too young to drink.
The teenager believes that there is a market for younger people who want to visit nightclubs with their 18-year-old friends.
He said: “We have licensing for 17-year-olds to be on the premises as we will have a chef serving food. I think this is something that is lacking all over the place.
“As a 17-year-old so many of my 18-year-old friends are going out to clubs and I can't go with them because I am not allowed in. We will have a DJ on the night who has played to thousands of people.”
The night will be open to all those 17 and older but ID will be required to buy alcohol and admission will cost €12 which includes drinks vouchers for €8.

The night will be called Gatsby Dublin and will be launched in the 79 Inn function room in Ballyfermot on Friday, July 17 and will run weekly from Friday, August 7.
Eamonn said: “My father and mother are successful entrepreneurs and Dublin publicans and I feel I get my drive from them. I had a bar and shop in my shed when I was 10 and a mobile car wash business, employing several people, by the age of 14.
“I want to own my own chain of pubs, hotels and restaurants. I’ve always had incredible ambition and I feel my current project highlights this best.”
Although the new weekly nightclub will be in opposition with some already established clubs and pubs in the area Eamonn does not find the task daunting.
He said: “I believe I am the biggest thing to hit the Irish hospitality sector since Louis Fitzgerald or Charlie Chawke and will make a bigger impact on hospitality than Tony Ryan did on Aviation in Ireland.”
