PLANS for the construction of 545 build-to-rent apartments at Concorde Industrial Estate in Walkinstown have been submitted to An Bord Pleanála (ABP).

Silvermount Limited, with an address on the South Circular Road, lodged the plans last month and outlined their proposal.

The proposed development consists of 545 apartments, comprising 19 studios, 220 one-bed units, 35 two-bed, three-person units, 254 two-bed, four-person units, and 17 three-bed units.

The apartments will be housed across six blocks, which will range in height from single-storey to ten-storeys; and a restaurant – which will be a standalone structure – forms part of the plans.

Provision of 12 commercial units, including five café/restaurant units, a creche and a medical centre, is listed in the proposal.

The developer is also seeking permission for 270 car parking spaces, 668 bicycle spaces, communal open spaces and internal common areas to serve the proposed development.

The planning application has been lodged through ABP’s fast-track planning scheme, as the proposed development is a Strategic Housing Development (SHD).

A decision on the application is due from ABP by April 14.
