73 housing development at Elder Heath in Kiltipper granted planning permission

PLANS for a 73-unit housing development in Kiltipper has been granted permission by South Dublin County Council.

Applicants Kelland Homes Ltd are seeking to develop a site at Elder Heath on Kiltipper Road in Tallaght.

Proposals contain the construction of 73 houses, comprised of 54 semi-detached and 19 terraced houses, and associated site development works of a site area of 2.17 hectares.

In granting permission for the development, SDCC outlined a number of subject conditions, which include a financial contribution of €556k in respect of public infrastructure.

No development is to take place until a cash deposit of €314k is retained by SDCC at “absolute discretion, if roads, open spaces, carparks, sewers, watermains, drains and other publicly accessible services required in connection with the development are not duly provided, completed and maintained to the taking in charge standard of SDCC.”

A lodgment through an approved insurance company of a bond in the sum of €368k is also sought by SDCC, which “shall be kept in force until such time as the roads, open spaces, and infrastructure services are provided, completed and maintained to the taking in charge standard of SDCC.
