THE Abberley in Tallaght re-opened nearly twelve months ago and is now approaching its first birthday.

Mick Dixon, General Manager, says that the past year has been action packed, and he assures us there’s more to come. “We’ve really enjoyed the first year of being open.

“There was a lot of good will towards the Abberley and we appreciate that. A lot of the staff would have worked here before and it’s great to still have them on board.”

March is shaping up to be an action packed month, starting with the venue’s first birthday party.

“We hope all of our regular customers will come and celebrate with us” says Mick. “After that we have a fantastic festival planned for St. Patrick’s Day and, of course we have Cheltenham falling the same week.

“We’re looking forward to a big day on Mother’s Day, with live music from Pop Gods and dessert on the house for all the mammies.”

The kitchen has recently launched a new menu and now offers a delicious Sunday carvery which has been extremely popular – you’re advised to get there early!

A special introductory price of €8 for all main courses on a Sunday means customers are getting great value for money.

There is also an express lunch menu during the week featuring everyone’s favourites including a full range of pizzas made fresh and cooked to order in a custom built pizza oven.

“The Abberley has a long tradition of being the place to be for celebrations of all types and we work really hard to look after everyone who books a party here, no matter how big or small,” Mick explains.

The venue offers a range of packages to suit everyone, bookings of all sizes are welcome for private rooms and reserved areas.

There are plenty of delicious food options available and Mick and his team are more than happy to discuss all of the details with you when you book.

“We hope that our regulars will continue to enjoy the line-up at the Abberley and that anyone who hasn’t been to see us yet will make it in over the coming weeks. We look forward to seeing you,” concludes Mick.

If you haven’t put the Abberley in your diary, now seems like a good time!
