‘Ann, your life was a blessing’

TRIBUTES have been made in memory of Ann Hogg who, “much loved” and well-known for her kindness, compassion and friendship, passed away on Monday night, November 27. 

Ann worked on The Square courtesy desk for 18 years and was a long-standing member of Tallaght Theatre, with the mother-of-two highly praised for her performance of Shirley Valentine in a one-woman show a few years back.

In a Facebook post this week, The Square shopping centre wrote: “We offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of our much loved friend and colleague Ann Hogg who sadly passed away last night following her long and brave battle with cancer.

“Ann, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.

“You are loved beyond words, missed beyond measure.

“Love from all your friends here at The Square.”

Ann died peacefully in St Vincent’s Hospital on Monday, November 27, and will repose at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, opposite Tallaght Stadium, this Thursday, November 30, from 2pm to 6pm.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, December 1, in St Martin de Porres church in Aylesbury, followed by cremation in Newlands Cross.
