Emergency services brought the young man to Tallaght Hospital.

However, due to the nature of his injuries, he was transferred to Beaumont.

A senior Garda source told Echo.ie today: “There was a young man injured in Tallaght in the early hours of November 1.

“The incident is under investigation and we have gone through CCTV in the area.

“The man would appear to have injuries consistent with an assault and we are asking anybody who has any information to come forward.”

Anybody who was in the area between 2am and 3am, and who may have witnessed anything suspicious, is also also being asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station.

Call Tallaght Garda Station on 6666000.
