Art installation in Dublin Mountains destroyed just one week after being created
It has taken less than a week for an art installation in the Dublin Mountains to be destroyed.
The ‘Wind Phone’ was created by Altrúchas, an anonymous art and design collective based in Dublin, earlier this month.

RTE featured the installation on Two Rock Mountain last Thursday, and today reporter Philip Bromwell shared images of the destroyed piece of art.
The phonebox contained a mock phone, and it was supposed to be somewhere for peaceful meditation.
It was inspired by a similar installation in Japan, which Bromwell, in his report, said became a popular pilgrimage site after the 2011 tsunami.

He went on to say that the group behind the ‘Wind Phone’ hoped it would be left alone for people to use whenever they needed it.
Sadly, it would appear it was not left alone, and instead was destroyed.
