A BEREAVEMENT information evening for families who have lost a child is being held in the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght, on Monday, February 22.

Organised by Anam Cara, a national organisation that provides support to bereaved parents and families, the evening will give parents an opportunity to hear an experienced bereavement professional talk about the many challenges families may face after the death of their son or daughter.

The free event, which is open to all bereaved parents, regardless of the age of their child or the circumstances of their passing, will see qualified psychotherapist and counselling supervisor Brid Carroll talk to those gathered about the various types of loss and the impact on parents, their families and the deceased child’s siblings.

She will also highlight the milestones through this special grief and the small supports that can make the journey a little easier.

The information evening, which is free, will take place on Monday, February 22, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
Anybody interested in attending is invited to RSVP to info@anamcara.ie before Friday, February 19 or call 4045378 or 087 9637790.
