Cervical Cancer Prevention Week to launch in Tallaght

EUROPEAN Cervical Cancer Prevention Week takes place this month, with the HSE launching its screening awareness campaign in Tallaght on January 20.

The HSE National Screening Service will launch its Pearl of Wisdom campaign to promote European Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, which runs from January 22 to 28, in the Rua Red county arts centre on Friday, January 20.

Run in partnership with the Irish Family Planning Association, the Pearl of Wisdom campaign will urge women to arrange their first smear test if they have not done yet or check when their next test is due – while sharing the wisdom among family and friends.
