Citywest Hotel owners told ‘reasonable’ basis on plans for 275 residential units

PLANS for the development of 275 residential units in Saggart have a “reasonable” basis for a planning application, according to An Bord Pleanála.

Developer Tetrarch Residential Limited submitted the proposal for the residential units, a creche and associated site works at Mill Road in Saggart last December, for a pre-planning consultation with An Bord Pleanála (ABP).

The proposed residential units are to consist of 58 houses, 36 duplex units and 187 apartments.

ABP reached a decision on the consultation this month, where they stated that there was a “reasonable application basis” for the proposed Strategic Housing Development.

In the pre-planning consultation application, Cape Wrath Hotel ULC, which operates the Citywest Hotel, is listed as a “prospective applicant”, while the applicant, Tetrarch, is the owner of the Citywest Hotel.

In a separate application, Cape Wrath Hotel ULC received planning permission last December for a 224-unit apartment development on Garters Lane in Saggart.
