Clondalkin drugs and alcohol task force seeks to develop plan

THE Clondalkin Drug and Alcohol Task Force (CDATF) are seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced individuals, to develop a three-year strategic plan with relevant stakeholders.

The cabinet social policy and public service reform committee has mandated the Department of Health to commence work on the development of the New National Drugs Strategy for the period from 2017 onwards.

To carry out the National Drugs Strategy in the context of the needs of the local area, CDATF are seeking tenders to develop their new three-year local drugs strategy for 2017-2020.

CDATF was established in 1997, to research, develop and implement a co-ordinated, locally appropriate response to substance misuse.

Their aim is to significantly reduce the harm caused by the misuse of drugs in the community through a concentrated focus on supply reduction, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and research.

The task force structure includes a management board and a number of working sub groups.

Closing date for applications for the tender is Wednesday, October 5.

Interviews will take place on Monday, October 17.
