COLÁISTE De hÍde is set to take part in an award ceremony for this year’s School of Distinction awards after being deemed a Future Vision school.

The achievement was rewarded following a submission by the school to the awards, under the core practices of College Awareness, Leadership through Service and 21st Century Teaching and Learning.

As a Future Vision school, Coláiste De hÍde will receive a number of benefits, including consultation sessions with the Trinity Access 21 team and five discounted places on the Trinity College Postgraduate Certificate in 21st Century Teaching and Learning.

Students from Coláiste De hÍde were also recently presented with Gaeltacht Summer College Scholarships by Scoil ríomhoide, Deiric Mac An Bhaird.

The students will visit the west of Ireland later this year, and the scheme was co-ordinated by teacher Maitiú de Hál.

The scheme was initiated in partnership with St Mac Daras in Templeogue, Coláiste Chillian in Clondalkin and Firhouse Community College
