THE community will take to the floor of the Citywest Hotel on Friday, June 10, in aid of a young girl who has a rare genetic neurological developmental disorder.

Living in Bohernabreena, three-year-old Daisy suffers from advanced stages of Rett syndrome – an extremely rare genetic developmental disorder, which requires 24/7 care, and presents a combination of cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and anxiety.

In recent months, members of the community, led by Sinn Féin councillor Dermot Richardson, have embarked on a fundraising campaign for Daisy and her mam Lyn – and to support the family in buying a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

The Dance for Daisy event in the Citywest Hotel will be a fun night of dance and entertainment, which hopes to raise €35,000 for this brave little girl.

The community is invited to support the event which starts at 7pm in the Citywest Hotel on Friday, June 10.

For further information, to buy tickets or to support the event in anyway email dancefordaisy@gmail.com or call 087 1499578 or 086 7958133.
