A TALLAGHT TEENAGER charged with handling stolen property caused Blanchardstown Court to be closed for an hour last week as he vomited on the court floor after his case was dealt with.

The 17-year-old continued vomiting through the hall of the courthouse and on the pavement outside.

The teenager, who has an address in Tallaght, is charged with handling stolen property: a glow worm boiler at the Outer Ring Road in Lucan on February 24, 2017.

The court heard that the DPP had directed trial on indictment.

Judge Miriam Walsh remanded the teenager on continuing bail for three weeks for service of the book of evidence.

As the teenager was walking from the stand, he started to vomit just as he approached the court door and continued to vomit outside.

The sitting of the court was suspended for an hour to allow a specialist cleaner come to the court to tend to the matter.
