Crosscare plate pals seek mealtime companions throughout Dublin

Crosscare’s Care Local is seeking volunteers as Plate Pals Mealtime Companions, in Nursing-homes throughout Dublin with a commitment of one to three mealtimes per week.

Plate Pals combat malnutrition and isolation among residents by providing valuable one-to-one assistance at mealtimes, providing gentle reminders and words of encouragement for the full hour it can take them to finish a full meal.

There are current openings in St. Mary’s Hospital in the Phoenix Park.
