A historic day for St Mark’s GAA Club takes centre stage in Echo Sport this week, with the Tallaght club turning the sod on their new all-weather facility, and we have all the latest from the weekend’s events at the club.

Meanwhile, there is a preview to the Dublin senior footballer’s All-Ireland semi-final with Mayo, plus we were out covering the U15 clash between Round Towers Clondalkin and Rialto Gaels.

In soccer, the opening weekend of the Leinster Senior League saw Bangor Celtic take on Dublin Bus, and we have all the action from that game and pictures, plus we hear from Crumlin United boss Martin Loughran after his side overcame Liffey Wanderers to lift the Tom Hand Cup.

Elsewhere, we chat to Clondalkin’s Hannah Tyrell who helped the Irish Women’s Sevens side qualify for the Women’s World Sevens Series, and there is also news of Community Games success for the Drimnagh-Inchicore Under 13 basketball team.

In motorsport we hear from Saggart’s Danielle Murphy who remains on course to lift her second Queen of Europe Drift Championship after a remarkable weekend in Hungary, and as always, there is a whole lot more local sporting news packed into 11 pages.
