Echo Sport Preview Edition May 21

What a week of sport it has been, and in this week’s edition of Echo Sport we have action from more than 25 DDSL, SDFL, LSL, LFL and SFAI Cup finals. Cherry Orchard’s success in the U16 All-Ireland and Templeogue United’s St John Bosco U17 M3 Subsidiary Cup winnersvictory in Tallaght Stadium on Sunday are only the tip of the iceberg, and DDSL success for the likes of Esker Celtic, Jobstown Celtic, Lourdes Celtic, St John Bosco, Knocklyon United and Collinstown is featured. Throughout the six pages of football coverage we have pictures and reports, and we also have reaction from Crumlin United manager Martin Loughran after his side clinched the FAI Intermediate Cup.

In GAA there is all the news from Liffey Gaels’ Feile success, and we have the clubnotes and other snippets from several clubs. This weekend we will be out about covering several of the juvenile Championship finals, and we will have pictures on our Facebook page from the matches, plus extensive coverage of all the games over the weekend and into next week.

Back to tomorrow’s edition, and the news that Tallaght man Graham Shaw has been appointed as Ireland Senior Women’s Hockey Team coach is featured, while Three Rock Rovers’ hosting of the EuroHockey Club Champions Trophy this coming weekend is previewed. Among the other sporting nuggets there’s exciting news for ten-pin bowler and recent history maker, Amanda Larkin included, and there’s news of South Dublin Taekwondo Club’s Jack Woolley, who performed brilliantly at the recent WTF World Championships. Finally, some Donore Harriers athletes were competing in the Leinster Track and Field Championships, and news that they accounted for several gold medals completes our main coverage this week. Of course there is a whole lot more from several sports, and as always we have worked hard to bring to the best local sporting coverage from across the area.

As always, if you have a sporting story you think we would be interested then contact us via sport@echo.ie or on Facebook on our Echo Sport page.
