Emergency services at scene of three car collision outside Tallaght Stadium
EMERGENCY services are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on Whitestown Way close to the entrance of Tallaght Stadium.
Dublin Fire Brigade from Tallaght and Dolphins Barn are dealing with the accident involving three cars which is blocking the road both ways.
One car has been turned on its side while the other two cars are blocking the road.
Gardai are diverting traffic from the area and three ambulances are also at the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid roads around Whitestown Way, Tallaght Stadium and the Tallaght bypass while emergency services deal with the accident.
The Echo understands five people have been injured and have been taken to Tallaght University Hospital.
