Fairtrade Town Fortnight kicks off in Clondalkin

CLONDALKIN Fairtrade Town are set to kick off a Fairtrade Fortnight this week, which will see a number of events taking place locally

On Monday, February 26, outside South Dublin County Council’s Clondalkin office, the Clondalkin Fairtrade flag will be hoisted to mark the beginning of fortnight - February 26 -March 11.

Celebrations during the fortnight include a Bake Off on March 1 at Áras Chrónáin.

Using Fairtrade products, participants will be in with a chance to win prizes – entries will be judged by TV3 celebrity baker Catherine Leyden.

On March 2, Clondalkin Library will host an art competition, which is open to students and adults in Clondalkin and must include the Clondalkin Fairtrade logo. Deadline for art exhibit entries to Clondalkin Library is March 1.

On March 3, The Happy Pear will host a baking competition, check instore for details, free bananas provided.
