Firearms and Drugs recovered in Clondalkin

Gardaí have seized two firearms, ammunition and a quantity of drugs following a search of a house at Deansrath Avenue, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

In a planned operation Gardaí searched a house at Deansrath Avenue at 8.30 pm on Thursday night.

During the course of the operation they discovered two firearms believed to be 9mm pistols, two silencers and a quantity of ammunition.

A quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of €6,500 was also recovered.

Two men, one in his 30s and one in his 20s, were arrested at the scene and they are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at Ronanstown and Lucan Garda Stations.
