Fundraiser for HOPE in Tallaght

A FUNDRAISER for HOPE Suicide Prevention Drop-in Centre in Tallaght is being held in The Dragon tonight, Friday, December 8 – with a prize of €500 up for grabs. All money raised on the night will go to the service and help to pay for a new premises it has located in Tallaght village.

Entrance to the event is free, with tickets for a bumper raffle with lots of great prizes on sale on the night for €5. The top prize up for grabs is €500, which has been donated by Tallaght Sinn Féin.

Kicking off around 8pm, the fundraising evening is open to the entire community to help raise much needed funds for this vital service. Currently based in Trustus House on Main Street, Tallaght, HOPE offers a drop-in listening and counselling service for people dealing with mental health issue. Concert to raise funds for the homeless

A CONCERT to raise funds for homelessness takes place tonight at the Tramway Theatre in Blessington at 8pm.

Funds raised from the concert will go towards the Peter McVerry Trust and the local St Vincent de Paul. The Roscommon Solstice Choir are leading the concert with guest appearances from St Brigid’s Children’s Choir (Manor Kilbride) and Music Generation. Tickets are €10 and available on the door or from the Office Shop and Hennessy’s off-licence next door.

WALK’s Winter Wonderland at Drimnagh Castle

Enjoy a magical walk into a Winter Wonderland at Drimnagh Castle, which will feature many Christmas market stands. You can visit Mrs Claus and the elves for jokes, songs and stories, as well as Santa Claus himself. The wonderland will be open from December 8 to the 10. Christmas concert in St Mary’s, Lucan

The Lucan Concert Band will be holding a Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 10 at 3pm in St Mary’s Church in Lucan. The show will feature St Mary’s Children’s Choir along with the fourth class choir and guitar group from Scoil Mhuire. Tickets are available for adults and children are free.

Christmas concert in St Maelruain’s, Tallaght

A CONCERT of Christmas carols from around the world will be hitting the high notes in St Maelruain’s Church of Ireland this Friday, December 8.

The concert will be performed by the Capella mixed voice choir, with Vincent Whelan, the Musical Director, and Celine Kelly, accompanist.  Admission is €10 and can be paid at the door.

This festive event is being held in St Maelruain’s Church of Ireland in Tallaght village on Friday, December 8, at 8pm – all welcome.
