Frank Nevin to retire as director of Economic, Enterprise and Tourism Development in council

THE retirement of Frank Nevin, South Dublin County Council’s Director of Economic, Enterprise and Tourism Development, was formally announced at the recent full council meeting, reports Maurice Garvey.

Members thanked Mr Nevin for the work he carried out at the local authority and wished him all the best for the future.

Mr Nevin worked in local government in Dublin/South Dublin County Council since 1982 apart from serving as the Housing Development Manager with the Dublin Docklands Development Authority from 1999 – 2001. 

Frank has been a Director of Services in South Dublin County Council since 2007 serving in the Housing, Planning and Transport functions.

As a Director of Economic, Enterprise & Tourism Development, some of his core functions involved the development and management of Grange Castle Business Park.

Mr Nevin will officially retire on June 20.

The council said his role will be temporarily filled by Ms Laura Leonard until the post is permanently filled by the Public Appointment Service.
