Gardai launch witness appeal after shooting in Tallaght

Gardaí in Tallaght are investigating a shooting incident in the Parkhill West area of Tallaght on Monday evening.
A Silver VW Passat with an unknown number of occupants fired a number of shots at a 06-D blue Mazda 3 containing two men.
The driver of the vehicle sustained gunshot injuries but managed to drive to Tallaght Hospital. His injuries are described as serious but not life threatening.
The passenger of the Madza was unharmed. The VW Passat was discovered a short time later partially burned out at Benmadigan Road, Drimnagh.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone in the Parkhill West area of Tallaght between 8.15pm and 8.45pm to contact Tallaght Garda Station.
