Gardai recover firearm and arrested two males in Ballyfermot.

AS PART of an intelligence led operation, targeting organised criminality in the Dublin area, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force carried out a search of a residence in the Ballyfermot area, on Tuesday night (May 21).

“During the course of the operation Gardaí recovered a firearm and arrested two males” said a Garda spokesperson.

“The two males arrested were aged 47 and 52 years. They are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act 39/98 at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow”.
