Weather warning for hailstones issued by Met Eireann

Hailstones are expected to arrive today (Wednesday) between 12pm and 3pm, according to a yellow weather warning issued by Met Eireann.

Met Eireann have warned motorists to take care as hailstones can create dangerous driving conditions due to their unpredictable nature.

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has created a video with a list of tips on what to do if you encounter a sudden shower of hailstones while driving.

It recommends reducing your speed without breaking, warn other drivers with your hazard warning lights and avoid sudden steering movements or breaking suddenly.
