After the tragic death of Lyra McKee at the end of April, Tallaght artist Emmalene Blake created this poignant mural of the journalist in Belfast over the May bank holiday weekend.

This video was taken when firefighters from Tallaght and Dolphins Barn rushed to the scene of a truck on fire close to warehouse units in Walkinstown.

The Echo photographer Paddy Barrett took this snap of the new baby gorilla at Dublin Zoo just after it was announced in May that the baby animal is female.

Timi Sobowale scored the equaliser for Ireland in their 1-1 draw with Belgium in the final group game of the Under-17 European Championships at Tallaght Stadium.

Children from Scoil Chronáin in Rathcoole sent this message to Health Minister Simon Harris in a show of support for their friend, Sam Bailey (9).
