Investigation underway after man brutally beaten in Tallaght estate

Gardai in Tallaght are investigating a serious assault which took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Springfield.

A man (20s) sustained injuries after he was beaten by at least two others at approximately 2:40am.

According to one eyewitness the man was kicked in the head several times while he was on the ground.

The man was later taken to hospital and treated for his injuries.

In a statement released to Echo.ie, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Tallaght are investigating an alleged assault incident at Maplewood Park on the 7th June 2017 at approximately 2:40am.

“A man in his 20s was brought to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrest have been made and an investigations ongoing.”
