Three arrested in Ballyfermot after serious road traffic crash on Kylemore Road

Three people were arrested yesterday in Ballyfermot after the vehicle they were travelling in, which was being pursued by Gardai, was involved in a serious road traffic collision.

The car had earlier been seen acting suspiciously by officers and was prompted to stop, but failed to do so at around 5:30pm.

The vehicle was then involved in a serious collision, which resulted in damage to several other vehicles on the Kylemore Road.

The road was closed for a lengthy period of time as Emergency services dealt with the incident, however, Gardai reported no injuries.

In a statement from Gardai released to Echo.ie, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai at Ballyfermot attended a road traffic collision on the Kylemore Rd, Ballyfermot yesterday 8th June 2017 at approximately 5.30pm.

“Three people were arrested and conveyed to Ballyfermot Garda Station. No injuries were reported and investigations ongoing.”

It was also confirmed that the car was not listed as stolen.
