It’s important people engage with task force drug project

THE closing date for a community survey on the changing landscape of drug use has been extended to August 31.

The Tallaght Drugs and Alcohol Task Force (TDATF) is inviting people living and working in Tallaght to engage in the public consultation stage of a research project into the changing landscape of drugs – and the impact it has on communities.

Commissioned by TDATF, the research team has to date engaged with the gardai, HSE, addiction services and other stakeholders, and now wants to hear from people living and working across the community.

“It’s important that the experience of people is heard in this piece of research,” Grace Hill, TDATF co-ordinator said.

“We want to hear the lived experience of people in communities.

“We want to show that this isn’t just data, it’s evidence backed up by what the community is saying… and what the community says, will inform the research’s responses and recommendations.”

People are encouraged to take part in the survey, which also has space to include additional information, ideas or suggestions.

The survey, which will remain open until Tuesday, August 31, is confidential, with an option to include your details.
