The Echo understands the popular florists on Ballyfermot Road are planning to reopen on Friday.

Staff have followed all the necessary precautions and guidelines, with all staff received their Covid test results back and are in the clear.

The Ballyfermot shop is currently being disinfected in preparation for reopening.

Owner Jackie Moran Shiels was away at the time of the initial closure.

The Echo understands it will just be Jackie and her son Darren in the Ballyfermot shop for the first week of reopening, as a safety first measure.

A message on Jackie’s Florist Facebook page on September 5, said the part-time member “contracted the virus outside work, but, as a precaution, all of our staff members are being tested and are following self-isolation and contact tracing protocols.

“We are in business for 30 years and we take our responsibility within the community very seriously. Staff and customer health and safety is, and always will be our top priority.”

Jackie’s Florist also has a store in The Square in Tallaght, which was not affected as both shops are operated independently.

The florists encourage people who require any further information to contact Aoife on 085 1766723.

“We appreciate your understanding at this difficult time and look forward to welcoming you all back as soon as it is safe to do so,” they said.
