Mark Keegan, who most recently worked as Human Resources Executive for The Carphone Warehouse, was selected, along with Aideen Hand, as one of the two presenters from over 500 applicants for the position.
Mark's role as continuity presenter will be his first foray into television, and the role was given to him after he recently completed a presenting course with The Park Studio.

For the past few years, Mark has also been performing across the music scene in Dublin.
Speaking about the role, Mark said: “I am delighted to get the chance to be one of UTV Ireland’s new continuity presenters and to be part of this exciting new venture.
“The entire process has been fantastic. When I got the call I didn’t believe it and now that I am here it still doesn’t feel real.
“I am counting down the days until the channel launches on January 1 and I can’t wait to welcome our viewers each night.”
