Kilmainham, Inchicore Musical Society (KIMS) are proud to present their third musical theatre production, ‘Anything Goes’ on November 1 - 4 at 7:30pm at the College of Further Education in Inchicore.

Cole Porter’s ‘Anything Goes’ was first performed on Broadway in 1934. It follows lovestruck Billy Crocker (Adam McGealy) who has fallen instantly in love with a beautiful girl he just met in a taxi. When he discovers she is boarding the SS American, the same London-bound ship his boss and co-worker, Reno Sweeney (Katy Nicholson) are boarding, he sneaks aboard himself.

Anything Goes 2

On the ship, he learns the beautiful girl, Hope Harcourt (Freda Quinlan) is already engaged to a stuffy British aristocrat, Lord Evelyn (Aaron Tierney), but that won’t stop him. With help from the other passengers, Billy seeks to get away from Reno, whose love he does not return, and capture the heart of the girl of his dreams—without hurting anyone’s feelings of course.

The show is a fun tale of love, deception and celebrity chasing set on the high seas where you can enjoy such classics like, ‘You’re the Top’; ‘It’s De-Lovely’; ‘Blow Gabriel Blow’; ‘Friendship’; ‘I Get a Kick Out of You’; and of course, ‘Anything Goes.’

With new and returning actors and actresses to the musical society, ‘Anything Goes’ is sure to be a play everyone can get onboard with.

Concession will be available on Wednesday and Thursday and you can book your tickets by calling 085 274 6124. Tickets are €16.

KIMS is a local community musical theatre group that was formed three years ago by former members of St Michael’s Musical Society Inchicore. The group encourages performing arts within the local community to grow and develop the members acting, dancing and singing skills. They are always looking for new members both on and off the stage. They can be contacted through their Facebook page.
