Kingswood traffic issues set to be addressed

A DETAILED review of traffic management issues relating to the schools in Kingswood is set to be undertaken.

The review is set to be undertaken in response to a request to address current difficulties taking place during school times at the gate into St Kilian’s Senior School on Ballymount Road opposite the entrance to Chesnut Grove.

It was made by Fianna Fáil councillor Charlie O’Connor at the Tallaght Area Committee meeting last week, and also included a call for the implementation of double yellow lines at the site with the possibility of a parking gate at a nearby grass verge.

In its response, the council confirmed that measures will be taken, if necessary, following the review.

It said: “A review as requested will be undertaken and if necessary, measures will be implemented to enhance and improve safety for the students of the schools in question.”
