Lidl granted permission for extension on Old Court Road

PERMISSION has been granted for the extension of the Lidl store on the Old Court Road in Ballycullen.

The proposal comprises modifications to the ground floor layout and shop facade including the extension of the existing store with a total increased area of 95.91sqm.

It also includes the removal of the existing entrance/exit pod, and the removal of the existing trolley bay to facilitate the extension.

Permission was also granted for a free-standing trolley bay, and proposed accommodation works to the store’s elevation and to the car park area.

Provision of all ancillary works required to complete the works to the required Building Regulation standards forms part of the planning application.

South Dublin County Council granted permission for the works on January 9 with a number of conditions.

The conditions include the payment of a financial contribution to the council totalling €10,796.58, the requirement for water drainage and supply infrastructure to comply with Irish Water requirements.

Other conditions include the stipulation that no advertising signage or structures can be erected without prior planning permission.
