Loreto High extension plans get the green light
PLANS to build a two-storey extension onto Loreto High School Beaufort in Rathfarnham have been given the green light by South Dublin County Council.
The school’s Board of Management has been granted permission for the extension to the existing school building.
The works which will be carried out on the school include the provision of a new entrance lobby, hallway, reception, new toilets and a new sick bay.
Also included in the plans are two new classrooms and three new offices, new signage and all associated landscape and development works.
It was also noted in the planning permission application that the development is within the curtilage of a protected structure.
Part of the conditions of the planning permission being granted include providing safety protection measures for the existing original vehicular and pedestrian access to Beaufort House.
SDCC granted permission for the extension on February 23.
