Male cyclist dies following fatal road collision in Rathfarnham

A MALE cyclist has died this afternoon following a fatal road traffic collision in Rathfarnham.
According to gardai, the road traffic collision, which involved a cyclist and a truck, happened at approximately 1.30pm at Whitechurch Road, Rathfarnham.
The man, whose age is currently unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was unharmed.
The scene has been sealed off to facilitate Garda forensic investigators.
A Garda spokesperson said this afternoon: “Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a truck which occurred on the 17 November 2017 at approximately 1.30pm at Whitechurch Road, Rathfarnham.
“The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His body currently remains at the scene, which has been sealed off to facilitate the Garda Forensic Investigators. The driver of the truck was unharmed.”
