Man charged with stealing €1k from Burger King

A MAN accused of robbing €1,000 from a Burger King on Sunday Janauary 3, was released on bail by Tallaght Court.

Presenting Sergeant Eithne Madden told Judge Patricia McNamara that she had no objection to bail for Darren O’Callaghan but asked for conditions that he stay away from the Burger King in question and that he sign on daily at Tallaght Garda Station.

O’Callaghan, aged 35, with an address at Killinarden Heights, Tallaght, is charged with robbing €1,000 approximately from Burger King, Belgard Road, Tallaght, on January 3, 2016.

O’Callaghan appeared before Judge McNamara in custody. O’Callaghan was represented by his solicitor, Jeremy Ring.

Sgt Madden asked for a remand for DPP’s directions.

Judge McNamara released O’Callaghan on his own bail and on condition that he stay away from Burger King and that he sign on daily at Tallaght Garda Station.

She remanded him to a date in April for DPP’s directions.
