Man found lying drunk on floor of A & E in Tallaght was on a ‘pharmacopia’ of drugs

A MAN who was found lying on the floor of the A & E of Tallaght Hospital was remanded for a probation report by Tallaght Court.

Kenneth Grealy’s solicitor, Michael Hennessy, told Judge Patricia McNamara that his client is on a “pharmacopia” of medication.

Grealy, aged 40, with an address at Lealand Gardens, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness and engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour at the A & E Department of Tallaght Hospital on April 20, 2016.

Sergeant Michael Ahern told Judge McNamara that at 11.40pm on April 20 last, gardaí received a call to go to the A & E where there was a man intoxicated.

Arriving at the scene, he said they found a male, Grealy, lying on the floor of the A & E.

Sgt Ahern said Grealy started screaming “f**k off” when he was asked to get up.

He said Grealy was intoxicated and was later arrested.

Mr Hennessy said his client was “not well” and is on a “pharmacopia” of medication.

He said Grealy had no recollection of the the incident. Judge McNamara asked Grealy if he remembered anything from the incident.

Grealy replied: “I have absolutely no recollection.”

Judge McNamara remanded Grealy on continuing bail to a date in January for a probation report.
