Man in critical condition after being struck by car in Tallaght

Gardaí at Tallaght Garda station are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred on the Blessington Road at approximately 11.30pm last night.
A 27 year old male pedestrian was struck by a car at the above location; he was taken to Tallaght Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The road remained closed throughout the night while a technical examination of the scene took place, and reopened at around 8:30am.
Investigations are continuing.
