Man killed after serious assault in Tallaght

Gardai are this evening investigating the murder of a man in Avonbeg Gardens in Tallaght after he was seriously assaulted at around 5:30pm.

The man, who is said to be in his 40s, was rushed to Tallaght Hospital, where he was being treated for serious injuries, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The scene is currently preserved, and no arrests have yet been made.
