Man to appear in court in relation to Kenneth O’Brien murder

Gardaí have charged a man, aged in his late 40's, in connection with the investigation into the murder of Kenneth O'Brien.

The man will appear before the Dublin District Court, Criminal Courts of Justice this evening at 6pm, Friday 12th February 2016.

The man was arrested on Saturday morning, 6th February 2016 and was detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Naas Garda Station.

Another man arrsted at the same time was released without charge on Thursday

Kenneth O’Brien’s body was discovered in the Grand Canal at Ardclough Village, County Kildare on Saturday 16th January, 2016.  

He had been shot dead and dismembered, with parts of his body recovered from the canal after almost two weeks of searches.
