
No Luas service between Saggart and Belgard following morning collision

The red line luas between Saggart and Belgard has been suspended this morning, following a collision at Cheeverstown earlier this morning.

The non-luas collision occurred before 8am.
The service was restored shortly after, however it was again halted two hours later.

A luas spokesperson said: “No service between Saggart and Belgard under Garda directive. Dualway coaches will be stopping at all affected stops. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
This is the second time this week that the luas service between Saggart and Belgard has been disrupted.
On Tuesday morning, after 8am, there was a collision with a van and a luas near the Katherine Tynan Road, close to the Cheeverstown luas stop again.

As of lunchtime on Friday, the junction remained closed as the traffic control system was out of service.
Due to an earlier non-luas related car accident at Cheeverstown, Dublin County Council have closed the junction as the traffic control system in the area is out of service.
