One man arrested after drugs and ammunition seized in Tallaght raid

A man has been arrested in Tallaght for possession of ammunition and cocaine after a planned search of premises in the area yesterday.

In a statement released to Echo.ie a garda spokesperson said: “As part of an on-going, intelligence led operation targeting organised criminal activity in the South Dublin area Gardaí from the Special Crime Task Force, Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau have seized ammunition and cocaine, pending analysis.

“The items were discovered following the planned search of a property in the Tallaght area yesterday, Thursday 9th February 2017.

“Gardaí seized a quantity of ammunition, cocaine with an estimated value of €1,300, pending analysis and drug paraphernalia.

“A man (41) was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.”
