Pentecostal church plans for community centre get green light from the South Dublin County Council

PLANS for a Pentecostal church at the junction of Brookfield Road and Rossfield Avenue, have been granted permission by South Dublin County Council.
Tallaght Family Church, which is currently based in the Brookfield Community Enterprise Centre, want to establish a two-storey church building at the site.
A planning application by ELIM Pentecostal Church with an address at Monastery Heath Green in Clondalkin, was lodged with the council.
It contains proposals for the development of a 843sq.m. two-storey church building with an auditorium for 119 people, gallery for 50 people, charity shop, café and kitchen.
It will also include counselling rooms, YMCA offices, youth, children and baby rooms and toilets, a lift, plant rooms and sundry supporting facilities.
There is also provision for five car-parking spaces to supplement the existing spaces for 55 cars within the Brookfield Community Enterprise Centre.
In September 2014 the disposal of the land for the site of the new Tallaght Family Church was approved by members of South Dublin County Council “to build a community church centre for the growing international community around Brookfield”.
A number of community services provided by the Tallaght Family Church are based in Brookfield Community Enterprise Centre, including Oasis Counselling and the Manna Charity Shop.
Tallaght Family Church is a part of ELIM Ministries in Ireland and was established in 2007.
South Dublin County Council granted permission for the development on February 29.
