People can support hospital by signing up for TUHF lotto

IF YOU were in The Square this week you may have spotted the Tallaght University Hospital Foundation team promoting its new fundraising campaign.

Tallaght University Hospital Foundation (TUHF) has launched a new community lotto that for €2 a week hopes to be a simple way for people to support their local hospital.

Money raised through the monthly lotto will go towards the hospital’s general fund, which staff can avail of for small but impactful projects or items that improve patient care and comfort.

According to TUHF: “By signing up to the TUHF Lotto, you and many others will help us raise funds for the extras – the items that don’t always get the budget but that make all the difference to staff and patients’ day-to-day in our hospital.”

People can support Tallaght University Hospital by signing up for the TUHF Lotto, which is €2 a week.

There will be three monthly prizes of €1,000, €500 and €250, with no prize rollovers.

TUHF has been running a successful staff lotto for the past year, with a separate lotto now being rolled out to the community.

Speaking with The Echo, Sarah Benson, Head of Marketing and Communications with TUHF, said: “We’re really excited to be bringing this to the community.

“It’s an easy, simple way to get involved and support your hospital.”

The community lotto, which is separate to the hospital staff lotto, will have three winners every month, which are computer generated through an electronic tombola.
