Raiders target three local petrol stations in early morning robberies
Gardai are investigating robberies at three local petrol stations on Thursday morning, which occurred within a 40 minute period.
The first incident occurred at the Esso garage on St Peter’s Road in Greenhills at 6:40am.
Two men entered the shop, armed with a crowbar, and demanded money from staff, however, they left emptyhanded.
At 7am two men entered the Maxol garage on the Greenhills Road, armed with a crowbar, and ordered staff to hand over cash.
This time they managed to get a small amount of money before fleeing the scene.
At 7:20am at the Topaz garage on the Kennelsfort Road in Palmerstown, two men, armed with a crowbar and a screwdriver, entered the premises.
They demanded that staff hand over the contents of the cash register and they then fled the scene with a small amount of money.
Although Gardai could not confirm whether or not the robberies were linked, investigations are now underway involving Gardai from Crumlin and Ballyfermot Garda stations.
